Genesis 3: 17- 18

You have heard this before, “the Gospel is good news”; yes indeed, but good news, these good news, come after the bad news: the curse, the penalty of death we deserve because of our sins. The only way in which that curse may be removed from us is through the life, death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is not about lifting your hand saying “I accept Jesus in my heart”; it is not because of your decision to follow him… it is about Him reaching to us and loving us when we hated Him, when we did not look for Him; when we loved our sinful ways and were children of the devil.

The only way to walk in freedom, out of the curse, is to follow His irresistible voice calling us. It is not something we could do on our own; it is a gift from above; it is Grace! And that, that is good news!
